how do you recover deleted files from a usb flash drive?
Flash drives are portable and efficient for data storage. They also tend to be the most affordable data storage solution. Unfortunately, they are also fallible.
The most common causes of flash drive failure include:
- Physical Damage- The USB connector separates from the flash circuit board. This is usually a result of being dropped or bumped.
- Data Corruption- This most commonly occurs when you transferring data from the device to a computer. Ensure that you safely eject the flash drive before removing it from the computer.
- Look Up/NAND Memory Failure- If the lookup tables are corrupt, data cannot be properly converted from NAND memory to LBA addresses, therefore rendering the data cannot be recognized by your computer.
- Damaged Passive Components- Often resulting from leaving your flash drive plugged in for long periods of time, this refers to voltage surges or shorts in the fuses of a flash drive that render a flash drive dead or overheated.
So, you’ve saved your data to a flash drive and can’t access your data.
